  • Sow Prunella vulgaris seeds directly outdoors in early spring or fall, as they benefit from a period of cold stratification.
  • If starting indoors, place seeds in a moist medium in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks before planting to mimic natural stratification.
  • Scatter seeds on the soil surface and press them down gently; do not cover them, as they need light to germinate.
  • Maintain a soil temperature of 65-70°F (18-21°C) for optimal germination, which typically takes 14-28 days.
