  • Sow Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost date.
  • Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting trays filled with a well-draining potting mix.
  • Maintain a soil temperature of 70-85°F (21-29°C) for optimal germination, which typically takes 7-14 days.
  • Water the soil lightly to keep it consistently moist but not waterlogged.
  • Once seedlings have developed 2-3 sets of true leaves, transplant them into larger pots or directly outdoors after the risk of frost has passed.
  • Space plants 2-3 feet apart to allow for ample growth and air circulation.
