An Italian heirloom from Tuscany and one of the favorite kale varieties - easy to grow, delicious, and tender. The best kale variety to use raw in salads or stews. It is frost tolerant, fun to grow, and a light frost improves the flavor. Because it can grow over 3 feet, it is sometimes called Dinosaur kale.

Sow spring or fall 1/8" deep, 18" inches apart, with 24" inches between rows. Germination 7 - 14 days. Maturity 45 - 65 days. The flavor is enhanced by frost.
