Green Globe Artichokes are plump round heirloom Artichokes with thick tasty hearts, tender leaves, and a delicious nutty flavor.
Grow as an annual in all zones and as a perennial in Zones 6 – 11. Plants grow up to 5 feet with 3 – 5 heads per plant ready to harvest in 120 days.

Green Globe has fewer spines than other Artichoke varieties and grows best in rich loamy soils, sited in full sun and given moderate watering.

Direct sow in spring or start indoors 2-3 months before the last frost date. Store seeds in sand in the fridge for 14 days, then sow ½” deep and keep at 60-70F—transplant outside 2 weeks after last frost date, 3 feet apart in rows 5 feet apart.
